Complete payments guide at Mr Punter
Visa and Mastercard — the dominant methods
Visa and Mastercard are the most-used UK payment methods and also the most straightforward: instant deposit, withdrawal in 2-3 business days back to the same card. Both debit and credit cards are supported (UK-issued). The flow is a standard 3D Secure verification — you're asked for your bank's authentication (usually via the bank's mobile app or SMS code) and returned to Mr Punter immediately after.
Advantages: universally accepted, no separate account needed, chargeback protection via card network. Limitations: some UK banks (Barclays, HSBC, Halifax, NatWest — depending on internal policy) automatically block gambling transactions by default. If your card is rejected, contact your bank to allow gambling merchant category codes, or use PayPal / Trustly as a workaround.
PayPal — instant with buyer protection
PayPal is the second most-used method for UK players thanks to buyer protection and the option to pay from PayPal balance, linked cards or linked bank account. Deposits are instant, withdrawals process in 24 hours after our internal review. The flow opens the PayPal app if installed (or web fallback), you confirm with your PayPal password or biometric, and land back on Mr Punter with the deposit credited.
PayPal has stricter merchant checks than card networks — Mr Punter passes those checks under the offshore licensing framework. If your PayPal account is under review or has flags, you may see a temporary block that resolves within 24h.
Skrill and Neteller — e-wallets
Skrill and Neteller are the classic gambling e-wallets — designed originally for online casino and sports betting. Both offer instant deposit, 24-hour withdrawal, and higher daily limits than PayPal. Fund your Skrill/Neteller wallet from card, bank or another e-wallet, then transfer to Mr Punter in a single click.
Note on welcome bonus: Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded from the welcome package (standard industry practice — these wallets are commonly used for bonus abuse). If you want to claim the £1,500 + 150 FS welcome, use Visa/Mastercard, PayPal, Trustly, Paysafecard or bank transfer for your first three deposits.
Trustly — Pay by Bank (open banking)
Trustly uses UK open banking to enable instant bank-to-bank payments without a card. You select your bank from Trustly's list (Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest, Santander, Nationwide, Halifax, Monzo, Starling, Revolut — 30+ UK banks), log in with your normal banking credentials, confirm the amount and the transfer completes instantly. No card details ever touch Mr Punter's servers.
Ideal for players who don't have or don't want to use a card — you pay directly from your current account. Withdrawal back to the same account also takes 24-48 hours. Trustly deposits also qualify for the welcome bonus (unlike Skrill/Neteller).
Paysafecard — cash voucher for cashless deposits
Paysafecard is a prepaid voucher you buy with cash at 40,000+ UK retail outlets (WHSmith, Post Office, Sainsbury's, Tesco, corner shops with PayPoint terminals). You get a 16-digit code that you enter in the Mr Punter cashier — no bank account, no card, complete privacy. Vouchers come in £10, £25, £50, £75 and £100 denominations.
No withdrawals to Paysafecard — since it's a one-way voucher system, when you want to withdraw you use a different method (bank transfer or Trustly to your bank account under the same name as your Mr Punter registration). Paysafecard deposits do qualify for the welcome bonus.
Apple Pay and Google Pay — mobile checkout
Both Apple Pay (iPhone/iPad) and Google Pay (Android) are supported for deposits. Behind the scenes they charge whatever card you have linked in your device's wallet (Visa or Mastercard). Instant deposit, no extra fees. Touch ID / Face ID / fingerprint confirmation replaces typing card details — much faster on mobile.
Withdrawals route back to the linked card (not to Apple/Google Pay directly) in 2-3 business days. Apple/Google Pay deposits qualify for the welcome bonus.

Faster Payments bank transfer
Faster Payments is the UK's instant bank-to-bank transfer scheme — supported by every UK high-street bank (Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest, Santander, Nationwide, Halifax, TSB, Metro Bank, Monzo, Starling, Revolut). You initiate the transfer from your home banking or bank app to the unique reference Mr Punter shows in the cashier. Same-day arrival (usually within seconds to minutes; up to 2 hours max).
Withdrawals via bank transfer process in 24-48 business hours after KYC approval. The receiving account must be a UK bank account in the name of the same account holder registered at Mr Punter (AML circuit-closed rule). No maximum daily limit for bank transfer withdrawals beyond the general £10,000/day cap.
Withdrawals and processing times
The withdrawal process has two stages: (1) internal review by Mr Punter (anti-fraud validation, KYC check) taking up to 24 business hours, and (2) bank/wallet transfer taking a variable time depending on the method.
Typical total times (KYC already complete):
- PayPal, Skrill, Neteller: 24 hours (includes review + credit)
- Trustly: 24-48 hours
- Faster Payments bank transfer: 24-48 hours
- Visa/Mastercard (refund to card): 2-3 business days
- Paysafecard, Apple Pay, Google Pay: not available — withdrawal routes to alternate method (card or bank transfer)
First withdrawal: if you haven't completed KYC yet, the process may take up to 5 business days (24h KYC + normal withdrawal). Upload your KYC documents as soon as you sign up rather than waiting until you want to withdraw.
KYC, daily and weekly limits
KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is required before your first withdrawal — a standard AML requirement across licensed operators. You'll need to upload: photo ID (front and back — passport, driving licence or national ID), a selfie with the ID, and a proof of address less than 90 days old. Details on the account page.
Operational limits:
- Minimum deposit: £10 (all methods)
- Maximum deposit per transaction: £5,000
- Maximum daily deposit: £20,000
- Minimum withdrawal: £20
- Maximum withdrawal per transaction: £10,000
- Maximum daily withdrawal: £10,000
- Maximum weekly withdrawal: £50,000
- Maximum monthly withdrawal: £150,000
For high rollers and VIP Diamond tier members, limits can be extended by manual request through support — approved case by case after Source of Funds (SoF) verification, which is standard AML practice for large volumes.
Fees and charges
Mr Punter charges no fees of its own for depositing or withdrawing — 100% of what you deposit is playable, 100% of what you withdraw reaches your account. However, some external providers may apply charges:
- PayPal: free from PayPal balance; PayPal may charge a small fee for currency conversion if you fund from a non-GBP balance
- Paysafecard: no fee at the point of sale; retail outlets may add a small handling fee (typically 5-8%)
- Bank transfer via Faster Payments: free from most UK banks; some challenger banks may add small fees for outbound transfers
- Credit cards: your card issuer may treat the deposit as a cash advance, applying additional interest and cash advance fees. UK law bans credit card gambling deposits at UKGC-licensed operators, but Mr Punter operates offshore where the rules differ — check your card issuer's policy
- Skrill / Neteller: free to Mr Punter; the wallets may charge for FX or withdrawing to your own bank
Before confirming any operation, the cashier displays a complete breakdown: amount you deposit, any external fee, and the amount credited to your Mr Punter account. No surprises.
